Odd behaviour with poser pro 11.1

This being my first experience with it, I read through the documentation for the SM Download Manager: 'Using the Smith Micro Download Manager' prior to installing it (yes, I'm that guy). Like many others I recently took advantage of the great pricing to upgrade from Poser Pro 2012 to Poser Pro 11.1.
